CEREMONIAL SKIRT TEACHING

If you want to wear a skirt for ceremony, you can. It doesn’t make a difference to the ceremony. It serves to set you up for ceremony in a different mind set where you are more focused on spirit and healing.

The skirt was initiated so that women would learn to respect themselves. The teaching is that the world is round like the bottom of the skirt and that women represent the world or Mother

Earth. So, the women should look after themselves just as the earth looks after herself.

The women create life through bearing children. Earth creates life through plant and tree reproduction and this provides for animal, insect and human life.

Women have forgotten to respect themselves. So, the skirt helps to remind them that the world revolves around them and for this they should be proud.
